You can freeze your credit in a little as one business day via phone or online. If you want to unfreeze it, to allow someone to view it for a loan or other purpose, you simply request, and the bureau must unfreeze it within 1 Hour!

Effective 9-21-2018 you can protect your credit profile by “freezing” it for FREE thanks to the “Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act”. When you do this, no one can access your credit without your permission!
